Last Updated(Beijing Time):2006-06-09 17:13
Deutsche Post's DHL Global Forwarding has won a US$600 million contract to provide equipment transportation services to China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. (CNPEC) for the Ling Ao nuclear power station project Phase II in China's Guangdong province.

DHL said in a statement on Thursday the contract would cover a period of three years and it would set up a logistics solution for all the nuclear power station equipment.

Ling Ao Nuclear Power Station Phase II is the only nuclear plant launched in China between 2001 and 2005 with total investment amounting to over US$3 billion.

The commercial nuclear power station will be able to produce 2,000 megawatts of electricity through its two pressurised water reactors.
