German retailer Metro to build its largest outlet in China

German retailer Metro AG will start building its largest outlet in China in eastern Anhui Province at the end of February, according to Anhui Commercial News

The outlet, covering 6.4 hectares, will be built in the Baohe District of the provincial capital Hefei.

The company entered China in 1995 and opened its first outlet in Shanghai one year later. Currently, it has 34 outlets across China.
