China's GDP up 8.9% in Q3

China's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 8.9 percent year on year in the third quarter of this year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said in Beijing on Thursday.

China's retail sales in the third quarter of this year rose 15.1 percent year on year, or 17.0 percent after deducting price factors, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.


China's fixed-assets investment up 33.4% in first nine months

China's fixed-assets investment rose by 33.4 percent in the first three quarters of 2009, the National Bureau of Statistics announced Thursday.
