February's sales of new cars down in France
At the end of February, sales of new cars in France declined by 0.9 percent as foreign brands suffered falling sales, French car sales federation (CCFA) said Monday.
Last month, car sales stood at 171,522 units compared to 173,048 vehicles recorded in February 2012, the CCFA's monthly data showed.
French car manufacturers sold 2.6-prcent more vehicles over the period thanks to innovative and lucrative offers that lured higher consumers.
French leading auto maker, PSA saw its sales growing by 3.7 percent to 53,284 while those of Renault offered 45,683 units, up 1.5 percent from the same month last year, CCFA said.
As to non-French brands, sales decreased 5.3 percent to 72,444 units last month.
