Last Updated(Beijing Time):2007-02-25 10:09
The reputable Forbes magazine has released its world's most expensive homes lists recently. In Asia, four of the priciest five homes are in Hong Kong, with the most expensive one priced at HK$350 million(US$45 million).

The report says thanks to the wealth booms in China, India and Russia, global housing prices will continue to increase. Except Hong Kong, Istanbul, Turkey bears the rest in Asia.

The most luxurious house in Hong Kong is located at Deep Water Bay with a price at HK$350-million. It has an area of 150,000 square feet and a 75-feet long swimming pool.

The Genesis, the second priciest house in Hong Kong, is built at the Peak. It is divided into two houses at a retail value of HK$190 million (US$24 million) and HK$170 million(US$22 million) respectively. The last one, near the Genesis and with an area of 6,000 square feet, is valued at HK$170 million (US$22 million).

However, Hong Kong's mega-homes failed to enter the top 10 in the world, six of which are in the United States.

According to online sources, American timber and real estate baron Tim Blixseth just upped the ante of the price of the world's most expensive home, planning to build and sell a home for US$155 million.
