The enterprise salary guideline went up more than 7 percent in about 20 provinces and regions all over China in 2018, Ecns.cn reported on Friday.

Central China's Henan province, with 12 percent baseline for salary increase, topped the list of 22 provinces and regions who have released enterprise salary guideline by Dec 6.

North China's Shanxi province and the capital city of Beijing with 8.5 percent baseline tied for second, followed by East China's Jiangxi, Fujian and Shanghai, and Northwest China's Gansu province with 8 percent baseline.

Except for Northeast China's Jilin province and Northwest China's Qinghai province both having 6 percent baseline, all the other provinces and municipalities' baselines for enterprise salary guideline were over 7 percent.

The enterprise salary guideline consists of baseline, top line and bottom line and except for East China's Shanghai and Northeast China's Liaoning province, most places in China have increased baseline, top line and bottom line of the enterprise salary guideline this year.

The enterprise salary guideline is the fundamental basis for salaries negotiation between enterprises and staff members and an important indicator of salary increase of companies.
