Shanghai-based SAIC Motor Corp. reported falling sales in February, company data showed.

The company sold 47,365 vehicles during the period, shrinking from 362,945 in the same period last year, said the company.

However, in the overseas market, the company exported and sold over 21,000 units in February, up 32 percent year on year.

The company will give full play to its edge in the whole value chain this year and exploit the technical advantages in domains including new energy and intelligent network to become more international, the automaker said in a statement.
