The two parties have decided to shoulder 50% of the investment each to jointly design and develop advanced medium-sized civil helicopter Z15. They will build two assembly lines, one in Harbin and the other in France, to produce the Z15 helicopter and will sell their products in the global market.

The two companies signed the cooperation agreement on December 5, 2005 in Paris. Engineers from the two parties have teamed up to design the Z15 helicopter. It is expected that the helicopter will realize a maiden flight in 2009.

The six-ton Z15 helicopter is a medium-sized helicopter that is widely applied in the world. It can be used in transportation, security, rescue and other civil spheres. The Z15 helicopter jointly developed by China and Europe will fill up the blank that China never produced a six-ton helicopter in the past. Industry insiders estimate that the world will demand more than 800 six-ton helicopters in the following ten years.

Hahang Group will have equal shares with the French partner whether in design, development or production, marking that Hahang Group's capability of developing and producing helicopters has reached the internationally advanced level.
