Hong Kong remains the undisputed shopping paradise for tourists in Asia.
A survey by MasterCard shows Hong Kong is not only the region's top earner, it has also shown the largest visitor growth.
The study forecast that Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul and Hong Kong will reap shopping dollars to the tune of US$20 billion by 2011, with more than half coming from Hong Kong's cash registers.
The city is now profiting from a growing number of Chinese mainland visitors. It has an excellent tourism infrastructure and transport network, plus a highly sophisticated marketing strategy.
Hong Kong is also seen to be the place to go for international brand-name items in Asia.
