China's business-to-consumer (B2C) market will reach 18.83 bln yuan by 2010 with a compound annual growth rate between 2006-2010 of 49.89 pct, Analysys International said in a report.
The report, noted that with more companies engaged in e-commerce, B2C users will see an increase in both the quality and diversity of products they can choose from.
B2C service providers are upgrading their IT platforms to provide consumers with more accurate product information and convenience through electronic payment, Analysys said.
It added that the Chinese government is supporting efforts to rollout infrastructure for e-commerce.
However, Analysys also noted that logistics problems and China's fledgling credit system continue to remain obstacles to the growth of the B2C market, along with a lack of well-defined laws to protect B2C consumers online. |
