There are more than 42 million small and middle-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China, taking up 99.3 percent of the total number of Chinese enterprises. The "project of promoting Chinese enterprises' mobile informatization" is designed to popularizing the mobile internet, especially the application of 3G commercial platform, so as to help SMEs reduce the cost of operation and management, improve the market response ability and boost the integrated competitive strength.

3G's rapid development in China has not only opened the huge market of hardware terminals, but also provided a platform with unlimited potential for the application of software. Recently, the "project of promoting Chinese enterprises' mobile informatization", which is initiated towards SMEs, has announced that in the future two years, about 10,000 popularization activities will be conducted in 100 cities in China, providing free trainings on 3G application for almost 1 million SMEs, and presenting the mobile-phone services of network construction and trusteeship. Meanwhile, sample enterprises on 3G application will be established, in order to popularize successful experience.

Experts point out that to realize mobile informatization, China's SMEs have always faced double doorsills, including capital and technology. If the project of promoting Chinese enterprises' mobile informatization is outspreaded in China's around 100 cities, there will be almost 1 million enterprises obtaining the opportunity of freely 3G-application training, which includes set up mobile portals, establish mobile stores and implement mobile marketing on mobile internet, or take advantage of mobile internet and mobile phones' terminals to realize real-time mobile management on enterprises. And those qualified enterprises can also obtain the services like mobile website construction with abundant functions and secure and reliable trusteeship, which are provided by the project undertaker for free, as well as the expert's instructions on 3G marketing, so as to realize the "admittance free" on 3G application and eliminate obstacles for SMEs entering 3G marketing era.

Shao Xianglin, Secretary General of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI), believed that to drive the numerous SMEs to apply mobile internet and develop the mobile commerce of 3G mobile phones will also enable those health, active, practical information become the mainstream of the information space of mobile phones.
