Yangling, Shaanxi, July 18 (China Economic Net) – The first cohort of Pakistani agricultural professionals trained in China graduated on Thursday from Shaanxi A&F Technology University, marking a major milestone in Pakistan-China agricultural cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.

Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Khalil Hashmi, while addressing the closing ceremony, emphasized that the graduation is not merely an academic conclusion but a shift "from intention to impact." He highlighted that this initiative was rooted in a commitment made by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to train 1,000 agricultural professionals in China, aimed at addressing Pakistan's agricultural challenges through advanced knowledge and practical solutions.

"Your training here in Yangling – China's national hub for agricultural innovation – has immersed you in the frontier of smart farming, seed technology, and sustainable land use," said Ambassador Hashmi. "You return not just as scholars, but as seeds of change."

He commended the transformation of Yangling College into Shaanxi A&F Technology University, reflecting the evolving scale and ambition of agricultural education. The ambassador acknowledged the leadership of Professor Zhong Weizhou and the strong support from Mr. Gao Jinxiao of the Shaanxi Foreign Affairs Office.

Ambassador Hashmi urged the graduates to implement their knowledge with purpose and inspire others, calling them "the face of a new chapter in Pakistan-China cooperation – greener, smarter, and people-centric."

"I hope these professionals can now return as agents of change, equipped not only with knowledge, but with the spirit of innovation that defines Yangling's agricultural frontier", he added.

The graduation ceremony underscored deepening collaboration in agricultural modernization, a shared priority in both countries' development strategies.
