Last Updated(Beijing Time):2006-06-09 11:54

K-pop star BoA will be a headline act at Environment Music Fest on July 15-17 along with a range of top Japanese artists. Japan¨s largest entertainment group AVEX said many of its artists including the Korean star will perform at the three-day outdoor festival in Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture.

A total of 30 groups and singers will perform at the festival, with BoA scheduled on the first day along with nine other groups and singers such as Mr. Children and Kobukuro.

Launched in 2003 by Kazutoshi Sakurai, the vocalist of Mr. Children, and Takeshi Kobayashi, a prominent producer, the ap bank fes is a promotional event for ap bank, a nonprofit bank that invests only in such environmentally friendly projects as renewable energy. In 2005, some 60,000 people attended the festival.

All tickets for this year¨s festival are sold out. The festival will also see other environmental events.
