Tourism Action Plan logo unveiled

The logo of the Tourism Action Plan was unveiled by the Civilization Office of the Central Communist Party Committee and the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) on Thursday.

The logo is composed of elements including 'culture', the dragon and the Great Wall.

Li Renzhi, a CNTA director general, explained that the cursive hand Chinese character "Wen" (meaning culture) symbolizes the highly developed Chinese culture and the wish Chinese civilians hope to improve their tourism quality.

The image of the dragon testifies to a long Chinese history. This dynamic dragon image indicates China's resolution to mobilize all civilians to take part in this action plan: to upgrade the civilization and quality of tourism.

The Great Wall image, meanwhile, stands for the abundance of tourism resources China enjoys, and for the Chinese people??s wish for such resources to be protected.

Li said that China has created the logo, with the hope that more and more people could focus attention on, and take part in the action plan to improve the tourism quality of Chinese civilians.

In August lat year, the CNTA also published regulations relating to Chinese travelers' behavior at home and abroad, in response to complaints of 'uncivilized conduct'.
