Top 10 crowded subway stations in Beijing

Commuting by subway is increasingly important to people in Beijing . Services are reliable, fast and relatively cheap. In a city of 20 million, crowds on a mas s transit system are to be expected but if you take the subway from certain stations at rush hour, you will experience the full extend of the swarming multitude.

No. 10 Fuchengmen station

Fuchengmen is on line 2,located near the financial district and is one of busiest non-interchange stations with an average 107,700 people passing through daily.

No.9 Guomao station

Guomao is located in the heart of the central business district,close to CCTV's new headquarters and many high-end office buildings. It is also an interchange station for two of the busiest lines,1 and 10. As a result,Guomao sees 107,800 passengers on a daily basis.

No.8 Jishuitan station

Jishuitan is located to the north-west on line 2. It is close to the north gate of Houhai Park,Jishuitan General Hospital and several residential clusters. It has a daily passenger flow of 108,900.
