| Chinese students spend an hour watching TV everyday, survey |

China Adolescence Research Institute recently launched a survey among 2,500 students in 6 cities and found that Chinese students spend an hour watching TV everyday on average.
These cities are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changchun, Chengdu and Lanzhou. According to Wang Xiaobo, a scholar from Tianjin Research Institute of Social Science, children enjoy watching TV, for TVs programs are vivid and interesting.
He also revealed that in 1992, children only spent 25 minutes watching TV programs, while in 1998, the time reached 38 minutes.
Wang revealed that most parents think watching TV is the most convenient way of relaxing oneself. Sometimes television becomes more important than parents to childrens daily life. |
