It is widely believed that lawyers lead a very decent and comfortable life as they have very high income; however, a questionnaire survey in Guangzhou reveals it to be just the opposite.
First, not all the lawyers enjoy high income (only less than 1% of them enjoy a decent annual income of more than 1 million yuan, even 10 million yuan). In fact, about 79% of them have a total annual income of less than 200,000 yuan, while 20% earn less than 30,000 yuan every year. Taking lawyer expenses and other expenditure into consideration, more than 35% net less than 30,000 yuan every year.
Lawyers' jobs, moreover, are very demanding, casting a shadow over their health, and hampering them from contributing to public welfares. |
