Zheng Jie to return to WTA tour
Last Updated(Beijing Time):2006-10-12 13:44
Australian and Wimbledon doubles champion Zheng Jie will return to the WTA tour next week.

Jiang Hongwei, head coach of the Chinese women's tennis team, disclosed Wednesday that Zheng, one of the leading golden flowers, has recovered from injury and will compete in next week's Zurich Open, a WTA Tier I event, reported by Dongfang Zaobao.

Bruising on her knees and ankles forced Zheng out of last month's China Open in Beijing.

But she is back after two weeks of treatment. She will play at the year-end WTA Championships in Madrid, Spain in November and the Doha Asian Games in December.
