Last Updated(Beijing Time):2005-09-26 09:22

China's securities regulator is considering relaxing rules to allow foreign financial firms to take control of the nation's securities brokers, the Financial Times reported, citing unidentified people.

The China Securities Regulatory Commission is considering a pilot scheme to overhaul rules that limit foreign companies to a 33 percent stake in a venture with a domestic broker, the Financial Times said on its Web site, citing a China-based banker.
