| Quake jolts sea off Taiwan |

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked the sea off Hualien, on the east coast of Taiwan in the wee hours on Sunday, said the national seismological network.
The quake, which struck at 1:36 am, was centered at 23.7 degrees north latitude and 121.6 degrees east longitude, at a depth of about 10 kilometers.
There has been no report of casualties or losses on the island, according to officials from Taiwan's weather bureau. |
