More than 2,000 households at the site of the Disneyland Project in Shanghai will be resettled by the end of June, a local lawmaker told Xinhua Tuesday at the ongoing annual session of the municipal legislature.
The first-phase resettlement work for the 4-sq km site of the first-phase construction of the Shanghai Disneyland Project began on January 5, according to Yu Yong, head of Shaxin town of Pudong New Area, where the project is located.
By Monday, 75 percent of the 2,000-plus households and 40 percent of 297 enterprises also needed to be resettled had signed moving contracts, Yu said.
Yu attributed the smooth progress of the resettlement arrangements to reasonable compensations, welcome designs of residential buildings for resettlement and help of lawyers as the third party of the moving.
The 4-sq m site of the Disneyland Project's first-phase construction will cover the theme park and supporting facilities, with an estimated cost of 25 billion yuan ($3.66 billion). The first-phase construction will be completed in five to six years. |
