A fire ripped through a timber processing plant in central China's Hubei Province Monday night, sources with the local fire brigade said.
The blaze broke out at around 9:50 p.m. in the plant, in the Hankou district of Hubei's capital of Wuhan, the sources said.
It is not currently known whether there are any casualties, but an initial estimate indicated that about 700 square meters of the plant had caught fire.
About 100 firefighters and more than 20 fire engines have been sent to extinguish the blaze, according to the sources. |
