No injuries or deaths among Taiwan compatriots have been reported following the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit the mainland's Sichuan Province on Saturday, said a spokeswoman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council on Wednesday.
A Taiwan-funded enterprise stopped production after its workshop was damaged in the quake, Fan Liqing said at a regular press conference.
Actual and pledged donations from Taiwan reached nearly 200 million yuan (32 million U.S. dollars) as of Tuesday, the spokeswoman said.
Taiwan-funded enterprises in the mainland have also donated relief materials worth about 16 million yuan, including food, drinking water, drugs, tents and cement, Fan said, adding that religious ceremonies were held at Taiwan's temples to pray for victims of the disaster.
"We're grateful to Taiwan compatriots for their concerns, condolence, and quake-relief aid," she said.
