Gansu's post-quake reconstruction plan unveiled
China unveiled Monday a blueprint charting reconstruction in its quake-hit Gansu Province, planning to spend 27.7 billion yuan (4.5 billion U.S. dollars) rebuilding 13 counties in the northwest region.
The reconstruction is scheduled to be completed in three years. Schools and hospitals will be rebuilt by the end of 2014, and residential compounds for relocated people set up by the end of 2015.
China's cabinet has rolled out support policies regarding the reconstruction.
A 6.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Gansu Province on July 22, killing at least 95 people.
