The Communist Youth League of China (CYLC)developed 102,680 grassroots organizations in private enterprises and non-governmental groups in the past year.
The CYLC established 103,000 youth league organizations directly under its leadership in communities across the country, according to a Thursday statement.
In the past year, the CYLC Central Committee established advisory or subordinate committees in seven industrial sectors -- steel, harbors, coal, automobile manufacture, catering, certified public accountancy and national economic & technical development zones -- through cooperation with government authorities and industrial associations.
Founded in 1922, the CYLC is a mass youth organization under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
It currently has nearly nine million members and about 3.59 million CYLC organizations at grassroots levels nationwide.
