Visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Thursday advocates five principles for guiding the future development of China-Japan relations.
In his speech on Sino-Japanese friendship and cooperation delivered in the Japanese parliament, Wen said that the following principles should be well practiced in efforts to realize "peaceful coexistence, friendship for generations, mutually-beneficial cooperation and common development" of both countries:
-- To enhance mutual trust and honor commitments;
-- To consider the overall interests of both countries and in the meantime seek common ground while shelving differences;
-- To pursue common development on the basis of equality and mutual benefit;
-- To strengthen exchanges with an eye on the future;
-- To conduct close consultations to cope with challenges. |
