| EU commission president arrives in Beijing for summit |

President of the Commission of the European Union (EU) Jose Manuel Barroso arrived here Tuesday afternoon for the 10th summit between Chinese and EU leaders scheduled for Wednesday.
During his stay in Beijing, Barroso will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao, and Li Keqiang, a new member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
Barroso will also deliver a speech at the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and visit the "798 art district" in northeast Beijing.
The China-EU Leaders' Meeting was started in 1998 in London and convenes annually. |
