China and the United States should expand common interests while respecting each other's core interests and major concerns and properly managing differences to further the level of bilateral relationship, Premier Li Keqiang said Thursday.

The common interests between China and the United States far outweigh their differences, Li told a press conference after the close of the annual national legislative session.

"There is much more that we can do to further unleash the potential of Sino-U.S. cooperation. We need to make the most of our complementarities," said Li.
