Sudan on Monday condemned a recent terrorist attack at Kunming railway station in China's Yunnan province, which killed 29 civilians and wounded 143 others, according to a statement released by the Sudanese Foreign Ministry.

"The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deep regret and condemnation of the terrorist incident which targeted a railway station in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, southwest of China, which killed dozens of individuals and injured more than one hundred others," the statement said.

The ministry offered its condolences to the government and people of China over the death of the innocent people and wished quick recovery for the wounded.

It expressed solidarity with China against any terror act that targets its unity and safety.

On March 1, a group of knife-wielding assailants indiscriminately attacked civilians at a railway station in Kunming, provincial capital of China's Yunnan province, causing 29 deaths and injuring another 143.
