Three Gorges Dam starts to reduce water discharge
Photo taken on Sept. 10, 2013 shows the water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir at the Three Gorges Dam, in Yichang City, central China's Hubei Province. The dam, the world's largest water control and hydropower project which spans China's Yangtze River, started on Tuesday to reduce water discharge with a full-capacity storage test. The water lever at the dam is expected to reach 175 meters by the end of October or in November. (Xinhua/Zheng Jiayu)
