Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with his Myanmar counterpart U Wunna Maung Lwin here on Wednesday, saying China is pleased to see that Myanmar has established and developed ties with other countries in the world.

Wang said he believed Myanmar's development path would be in line with its own situation and national interest.

Wang vowed that the two sides would enhance cooperation on major economic and trade projects, advance the interconnectivity between the two countries and explore the building of the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar economic corridor program.

As Myanmar will hold the rotating presidency of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) next year, Wang advocated the two countries make joint efforts to enhance China-ASEAN ties.

U Wunna Maung Lwin said Myanmar valued China's long term support and is ready to strengthen cooperation on major projects, interconnectivity and border stability.

Myanmar will work to facilitate China-ASEAN relations, he noted.
