Ugandan Minister for Presidency Kirunda Kivejinja discussed bilateral issues with visiting Zanzibar Minister of State Adam Mwakanjuki on Monday.

During the meeting Kivejinja briefed his guest about the democratization process in Uganda and his country's efforts to revamp its economy and realize regional peace.

Mwakanjuki, in charge of constitutional affairs and good governance in the president's office, also briefed Kivejinga on Zanzibar efforts to bring about good governance, accountability and transparency.

The Zanzibar minister praised Uganda's remarkable achievements in improving its economy as well as promoting good governance.

Mwakanjuki, who arrived here Sunday for a four-day visit, will also meet several Ugandan ministers and attend the ceremony on Tuesday to decorate Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni general before his retiring from the Ugandan army.
