Canadian main stock market continued up throughout Wednesday, its third straight day of gains after robust quarterly results in some technology companies improved market sentiment.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index rose 76.72 points, or 0.50 percent, to end the day at 15,369.43 points,
The Canadian dollar edged up 0.03 cents to 0.76.26 U.S. dollar.
On the market,153 issues rose and 89 fell. There were five new highs and 11 new lows, with total volume of 270.9 million shares.
The energy group rose 0.56 points, or 0.33 percent while the financials sector climbed 0.17 points, or 0.06 percent.
The most heavily traded shares by volume were Aurora Cannabis Inc,Bombardier Inc. and Aphria Inc.
Aurora Cannabis Inc. jumped 8.95 percent to 10.59 Canadian dollars on 31.3 million shares.
Bombardier Inc. rose 2.57 percent to 3.19 Canadian dolalrs on 11.2 million shares.
Aphria Inc. gained 3.71 percent to 17.32 on 10.2 million shares.
