Hewlett-Packard Co, the world's No 2 personal computer maker, and Toshiba Corp will develop Unix-based servers and information systems to expand sales in Japan.

Hewlett-Packard Japan Ltd will supply Toshiba Solutions Corp with designs for high-performance computer servers using the Unix platform, said Kouki Nakamura, a spokesman for Toshiba Solutions. Toshiba Solutions will use Hewlett-Packard servers to create information systems for businesses starting yesterday, he said.
