India, Russia sign deals on aircraft carrier, Mig-29K

Apart from defense and nuclear cooperation, the two leaders also discussed regional issues such as Afghanistan and Pakistan, said Russian and Indian officials.

The revised agreement on Gorshkov aircraft carrier deal fixed the price of the warship at 2.34 billion U.S. dollars, while the price for the Mig-29K fighters stood at 1.5 billion U.S. dollars, according to Russian and Indian officials.

An agreement in the area of civilian space exploration was also inked by the two governments. Indian Space Research Organization ( ISRO) signed a agreement with Russian Space Agency for production of satellite navigation system.
