1 killed, 1 injured in 3-vehicle collision in western Japan |

One driver was killed and another injured early Thursday in an accident involving three vehicles in Mie Prefecture in western Japan, local press reported.
The accident happened at around 1:45 a.m. local time when three vehicles, including a car, a truck and a heavy trailer collided with each other on the Meihan Expressway in Iga City.
The 38-year-old driver of the truck died and a 74-year-old man who was driving the car was injured in the crash, according to the report.
Investigation is underway into the cause of the accident. |
