Foreign student stabbed at Osaka University |

A foreign student is in a serious condition after he was stabbed in the stomach Tuesday by unknown suspect at Osaka University in Japan's Osaka Prefecture, local press reported.
The incident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. local time on the university campus in Toyonaka City of the prefecture, according to Japan's public broadcaster NHK.
The student fell unconscious and was carried to a nearby hospital after emergency call from a security guard of the university.
NHK cited local police as saying that the injured student is a 28-year-old Vietnamese researcher who is studying in Graduate School of Science of Osaka University.
Details of the incident are unknown but the police are seeking information from students or other people in the university about the incident. |
