2 Indian border guards wounded in exchange of fire with Pakistani rangers |

Two Indian border guards of India's Border Security Force (BSF) were wounded in exchange of fire with Pakistani border guards on the border in Kashmir, officials said Tuesday.
According to officials, the first ceasefire violation on Sunday night took place at the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, around 105 km south of Jammu, the winter capital of Indian- controlled Kashmir. The Indian officials claimed that Pakistani rangers fired rockets and used small fire arms on a BSF border outpost in the Hiranagar sector, thereby wounding two BSF personnel.
The wounded BSF personnel were immediately rushed to district hospital Samba and admitted, All India Radio, the official broadcaster of the country, reported Tuesday.
Indian border guards also fired in retaliation and the exchange between two sides continued for some time, official said. |
