Georgia's opposition coalition rallied Sunday in the western city of Kutaisi, hoping to draw support in the upcoming parliamentary elections, local media reported.
The rally was the second within a month for the 2-month-old opposition coalition, Georgian Dream. The coalition also rallied on May 27, drawing tens of thousands of people to the event ahead of the October elections.
Gia Kobaliania, the Georgian Dream press secretary, told reporters that a large turnout from Kutaisi and surrounding areas was expected.
Supporters gathered for the rally on Aghmashenebli Square in Kutaisi, Georgia's second largest city, as numerous coalition leaders made appearances. |
