German car producer BMW Group reported on Thursday that 197,480 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles were sold in November, registering a year-on-year increase of 4.9 percent and hitting a new sales record.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,033,948 group vehicles were delivered to customers in the first 11 months, an increase of 6.9 percent, which is the first time for the company to have sold over 2 million vehicles by this stage in the year, according to the Bavarian company.

"The steady sales growth we've shown throughout the year so far reflects the great new products we currently have on the market," said Ian Robertson, member of the board of management for sales and marketing.

"From the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer to the BMW X6 and the BMW i3, we are seeing a very positive customer response to a wide range of products, resulting in sustained sales momentum," he added.

According to BMW, sales grew again in all major sales regions in November following its strategy of balanced global sales. On the Chinese mainland, a total of 41,090 vehicles of the group were delivered to customers, up 3.2 percent compared to last November.
