Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Lofven announced on Wednesday new minister posts appointed in his government after two ministers resigned in recent months.

Lofven announced Isabella Lovin as the new deputy prime minister and Green Party co-leader. She will also keep her title as minister of international development cooperation.

The other posts go to Peter Eriksson as the new housing and digitization minister, Karolina Skog as new environment minister, and Ann Linde, as the new EU and trade minister.

He also adjusted the functions of several government ministries.

Earlier this month, then Green Party co-leader, Deputy Prime Minister and Environment Minister Asa Romson resigned. In mid-April, Housing Minister Mehmet Kaplan quit.

The current Swedish government, formed in 2014, is led by a coalition of the Social Democratic Party and the Green Party.
