Bulgarian GDP grows by 3.5 pct in Q1
Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.5 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2017, official data showed on Wednesday.
The GDP at current prices amounted to 10.928 billion U.S. dollars, or 1,539 dollars per person, according to preliminary data released by the country's National Statistical Institute (NSI).
Exports and imports of goods and services increased by 5.8 percent and 7.1 percent respectively compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the NSI said.
According to the NSI, Bulgaria's GDP grew by 3.4 percent year-on-year in 2016, 3.6 percent in 2015, and 1.3 percent in 2014.
