Russian strategic missile launchers on combat patrol
Russia's mobile missile launchers have started combat patrols as part of the Strategic Missile Force's regular drills, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a
statement on Monday.
A total of 11 formations of Topol, Topol-M and Yars missile launchers from the Tver and Irkutsk regions participate in the combat patrols, said the statement.
The position change of the nuclear missile launchers is conducted in daytime as well as at night. About 400 pieces of military hardware are involved.
The Russian Strategic Missile Force plans to conduct more than 150 drills this year, according to the statement.
