Explosion targets Lebanese army checkpoint in Beirut
A huge explosion targeted a Lebanese army checkpoint in the southern suburbs of Beirut Hadi Nasrallah avenue minutes after midnight between Monday and Tuesday, New TV reported.
The TV said that a bomb-laden car exploded near the army checkpoint, leaving unidentified number of casualties and a huge fire.
It added that the car was an old Mercedes type and it is unknown yet whether it is a suicide attack.
