Morocco's economic growth is expected to slow down to 3.6 percent this year from 4.1 percent in 2017, the central bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the central bank forecasts, the expected growth will be mainly driven by an increase of 3.2 percent in agricultural growth and 5.7 percent in agricultural added value.
Meanwhile, the budget deficit would stand at 4.1 percent of the GDP this year, while inflation would rise to 2.4 percent.
As for 2019, the central bank expects the economic growth to decline a little further to 3.1 percent and the budget deficit to decrease to 3.6 percent.
These forecasts remain below the Moroccan government goal of achieving an average annual growth between 4.5 and 5.5 percent during 2016 to 2021.
