Somali PM sacks education minister
Somalia Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire on Thursday sacked education minister Abdirahman Dahir Osman.
In a statement issued in Mogadishu, Khaire replaced Osman with his deputy Abdirahman Mohamud Abdulle Jabir in an acting capacity.
"Somali Prime Minister has today issued a decree sacking Osman from his post of minister for education," it said.
The sacking comes after Osman who has served as education minister since 2017 was quoted as saying his ministry does not recognize all the universities in the country.
The latest sacking, the second in a month comes after the PM dismissed Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowment amid disagreement over Hajj services between private airlines and the government. Enditem
