Turkey hunts 45 suspects over failed coup
Turkish authorities on Tuesday issued detention warrants for at least 45 people, including soldiers, over their alleged links to a U.S.-based Turkish cleric who is accused of masterminding a failed coup in 2016.
Police launched simultaneous operations against the suspects in 25 provinces across the country, the NTV broadcaster reported, noting several soldiers who were on active duty were reportedly targeted as well.
Ankara blames Fethullah Gulen and his network for the July 2016 coup bid, in which 250 people were killed.
