Two police personnel and four employees of the election office in Afghanistan's capital Kabul were injured Monday in a suicide bombing, spokesman for Kabul Police Basir Majahid said.
According to the official, a suicide bomber was riding an explosive-laden car to target the election commission office. The police, after suspecting the driver, ordered him to stop and the terrorist detonated his explosive device, wounding six people.
He said investigation is underway, without giving information about the fate of the attacker.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, but Taliban militants have conducted series of attacks on election and election-related activities over the past couple of months to sabotage parliamentary polls held on Oct. 20.
