Tunisian Defense Minister Abdelkarim Zbidi said on Tuesday the national army will keep a watchful eye for preserving the peace and security of Tunisia and face all internal and external threats.

The minister stressed the need to be vigilant, especially on the western borders because of its forest on the heights which are places of communication by terrorists, at the annual conference of the armed forces in Tunis.

Zbidi also emphasized the need to improve the living conditions of military agents.

He highlighted the efforts of both the military and security institutions in the fight against terrorism, organized crime and irregular migration. Enditem
