Pakistani forces foil terror bid in Balochistan province
Pakistani security forces said Tuesday they had foiled a terrorist bid by arresting a suicide bomber and confiscating explosive materials, a statement said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan army, said that the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation and raided a terrorists' hideout in Chaman, a district near the country's border with Afghanistan.
During the operation, the forces arrested a suicide bomber with suicide jackets, said the ISPR.
The forces also recovered prepared suicide jackets, different materials and gadgets for making improvised explosive devices and communication equipment, the military's media wing said.
